When a football analysis is empty: data lessons for Vietnamese sports media

To an outsider, the document looks useless. To someone who has worked for more than four decades, it mirrors a familiar habit: we prefer to invent a story rather than admit that we do not have enough evidence. Vietnam is a football-crazy nation, yet many opinions are built on a three-minute highlight reel. Japanese football is not strong because of discipline alone; it is strong because people understand the reason for discipline. The empty analysis reminded me that systems matter more than positions. If we do not measure space, pressing patterns, and movement without the ball, we are commenting on noise. Vietnamese media should learn to say "not enough data" instead of filling the silence with emotion. An article that dares to state its limits has started to teach.
